I. Rental Agreement Formation
A. Booking Process
- Submission of Request: When you submit a rental request through our website, mobile application, or in – person at our office, you are making an offer to enter into a rental agreement with TYPICAL TYPE EVENTS LIMITED.
- Acceptance of Offer: We will confirm the availability of the requested equipment, tools, furniture, appliances, stage equipment, or cars and accept your offer by sending you a booking confirmation email or message. The rental agreement is formed at the time of our acceptance, and you are bound by these Terms and Conditions from that moment forward.
B. Identification and Eligibility
- Required Documentation: To rent from us, you must be at least 16 years of age and provide valid identification, such as a government – issued ID, driver’s license, or passport. For car rentals, the primary driver must have a valid driver’s license and meet our insurance requirements.
- Credit Check: In some cases, we may conduct a credit check to assess your creditworthiness and determine the rental terms, including the deposit amount. If your credit check fails to meet our standards, we reserve the right to refuse your rental request or require additional security measures.
II. Payment Terms
A. Rental Fees
- Pricing Structure: The rental fees for each item are clearly stated on our website, in our catalog, or provided to you at the time of booking. Rental fees are based on the type of item, rental duration, delivery and pick – up services (if applicable), and any additional accessories or services requested.
- Taxes and Surcharges: All rental fees are subject to applicable taxes, such as sales tax or value – added tax (VAT), and any surcharges, including environmental fees or peak – season surcharges. These additional charges will be clearly indicated on your invoice.
B. Payment Methods
- Accepted Forms of Payment: We accept a variety of payment methods, including major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, etc.), debit cards, bank transfers, and online payment platforms (PayPal, etc.). Payment must be made in advance, and we reserve the right to change our accepted payment methods at any time.
- Payment Authorization: By providing your payment information, you authorize us to charge the rental fees, taxes, surcharges, and any additional costs associated with your rental to the payment method you have selected. We may pre – authorize your credit card for the estimated rental amount at the time of booking to ensure the availability of funds.
C. Deposits
- Deposit Requirement: For certain rentals, especially high – value items or items with a higher risk of damage, we may require a security deposit. The deposit amount will be specified at the time of booking and will be refunded to you within 7 business days of the successful return of the rented items in the agreed – upon condition, minus any deductions for damages, cleaning fees, or outstanding charges.
- Deposit Deductions: If there are any damages, losses, or additional charges associated with your rental, we will deduct the appropriate amount from your deposit. If the cost of damages or charges exceeds the deposit amount, you will be responsible for paying the remaining balance within 7 days of receiving our invoice.
III. Liability and Insurance
A. Renter’s Liability
- Damage and Loss: During the rental period, you are fully responsible for the rented items. You must use the items in accordance with the provided instructions, safety guidelines, and applicable laws. In the event of damage, loss, or theft of the rented items, you will be liable for the full cost of repair, replacement, or reimbursement, including any associated fees, such as transportation costs, labor costs, and administrative charges.
- Third – Party Claims: If any third – party makes a claim against us or you as a result of your use of the rented items, including claims for property damage, personal injury, or loss, you will be responsible for defending and indemnifying us against all such claims, losses, damages, and expenses, including attorney’s fees.
B. Insurance
- Recommended Insurance: We strongly recommend that you obtain your own insurance coverage for the rented items to protect yourself against potential liabilities and losses. Your personal insurance policy, such as a homeowner’s insurance, renter’s insurance, or auto insurance policy, may provide coverage for rented items. Please review your insurance policy carefully to understand the extent of coverage and any exclusions.
- Optional Insurance: We may offer optional insurance coverage for an additional fee for certain rentals. The terms and conditions of our optional insurance will be provided to you at the time of booking. If you choose to purchase our optional insurance, it will cover the cost of damage, loss, or theft of the rented items, subject to the terms and conditions of the insurance policy. However, insurance does not cover damages or losses caused by your negligence, misuse, or unauthorized use of the rented items.
IV. Cancellation and Modification
A. Cancellation Policy
- Cancellation Fees: As described in the Returns & Exchanges policy, cancellations are subject to specific fees based on the time of cancellation. If you need to cancel your rental reservation, you must notify us in writing via email at Joseph1Holmes@outlook.com or by phone at +44 7400 467013. Cancellations will only be effective upon our receipt of your notification.
- Force Majeure: In the event of a force majeure event, such as a natural disaster, war, strike, or government – imposed restrictions, that prevents you from using the rented items, we may allow for a cancellation without penalty or offer alternative arrangements, depending on the circumstances. You must provide us with reasonable evidence of the force majeure event.
B. Modification Policy
- Request for Modification: If you need to modify your rental agreement, such as changing the rental start or end date, adding or removing items from your rental, or altering the delivery or pick – up location, you must contact our customer service team as soon as possible. Modifications are subject to availability and may result in additional charges or adjustments to the rental fees.
- Approval Process: We will review your modification request and notify you of our decision within 7 business days. If your modification request is approved, we will issue a revised rental agreement, and you will be bound by the updated terms and conditions. If your modification request is denied, we will explain the reasons for the denial and offer alternative solutions if available.
V. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or your use of our rental services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
